An excellent book. Kasey is courageous to speak out, write, and publish this book about the sex abuses and the emotional she endured. Throughout this book I sense a higher spiritual “protector”. The constant sexual, abuses and emotional abuses would send many people onto self-destructive paths. Instead, during the constant abuses Kasey seeks, and nurtures other people she senses need her help. Amazing!I too, am a survivor and I applaud Kasey’s messages, “…it is not your fault…” Kasey does an excellent job convincing Adult survivors the sex abuses when they were child are not their fault. The author continues to mention … how abusers manipulate, and convince you THESE ABUSES are a normal way of life.
I commend the Kasey being straightforward describing the actions of what child sex abuse are. Thank you for describing what is NOT normal touch. Especially describing abusive hugs and kisses from relatives, and close friends of the family. Our culture bends and twists many people’s mindset set so that when they hear the words sex abuse--they brush the sex abuse off as normal hugs and kisses that have been blown out of proportions.

This is remarkable story. A must read. A true story that will make you cry but yet feel encouraged for the strength of this young woman and give you courage to know that we can conquer tribulations and the awesomeness of God. Inspiring !!!!! If I could I would buy this book for everyone.
MUST READ!!! I have never written a book review before. I have read a good number of books in my life, but none that really impacted me enough to where I felt I needed to reach out. But "A light in the Darkness" is such a powerful and moving book. From start to finish, the book is such an incredible personal testimony to the healing power of God. This is one of those books, if you know someone or if you are someone, who has ever been abandoned, neglected, abused, or anything that has broken your spirit in life, this book is a MUST READ!!! The message of Gods' eternal power of healing, and His eternal love, and His compassion is enough to give anyone a sense of hope. I, personally, thought this was a very brave and very impacting piece of literature. Thank you to the author for having the courage and heart to share this with the world.
I couldn't put it down. I think everyone can find something in this book to relate to, Everything in life has a consequence and everything has an impact on the people around you. Everyone has a choice on how to deal with what they have been through. This book is uplifting although tragic, and I highly recommend!
